Animation Inspiration

Tribute to Hayao Miyazaki from dono on Vimeo.
This first video is one of my favourites as it's a tribute to one of my favourite filmmakers Hayao Miyazaki and his company, "Studio Ghibli".  I like how this video includes both 2D and 3D animation, as it really makes the front animation pop and keep the art style, and the 3d of the background allows for a lot of detail and high quality renders.

This 3D animated short film is fast paced with a unique art style and the best I can describe it is that it looks remarkably like the colour and texture of clay. The music also matches the speed of the film quite well which keeps up the pace of the animation.

The reward is one of the best short animated films i've ever seen. It is 2D animated with greatly detailed and beautiful settings and amazing character designs. The animation itself is really smooth and has great fight scenes and facial expressions.
